BIOGRAPHY

Hello, I am Zach Hensley. 21 years young, in a wheelchair for life. I have found a career path for me which is driving a race car. To be more specific I drive a 2010 Victory Chassis IMCA Modified. I start racing in March and end the middle of November. Most ask how I manage to reach the pedals, I use hand-controls. Yes I use nothing but my hands to steer, brake and throttle. Sure its hard but how would anyone know if they never tried it. More about me, I was born with Femoral Hypoplasia which causes no use of my legs. I have had tough times and times where I have wanted to give up. I realized if I had given up I wouldn't be proving everyone wrong who says anyone with a disability can not do what "normal" people do. I will continue to prove what I can do as a person and for people just like me who once wanted to give up. You can go ahead and add me, I won't decline anyone. =)

Made his first WWMT feature in Price on June 5, 2010 in Price, Utah

Owns trophy dash wins in Rock Springs, Wyoming and in Vernal, Utah in 2008 and got his first heat race win in Price, Utah in 2010.
